Winter Wonderland Challenge....

Hi Guys...This is my entry for this weeks Winter Wonderland Challenge..this time its a sketch and/or a Pantomine theme....This is the first time I have entered this challenge..I just couldnt resist the fab sketch...do go and check out the DT creations...truly FAB!!

Now I have to tell you about the image I used...When I first started cardmaking..I used all sorts of things mainly silk flowers that I bought by the bunch from the £1 shop and pulled them apart and stuck them on cards with other embellishments..funny how things dont change!!!..Anyway..I used to have weekend stall at a craft market at Merton Abbey Mills, Colliers Wood..South London..(I think its still there)..thats where I first started selling my cards...then one week, a chap came long and was selling strange rubber stamps..these had pictures on and not just for names and addresses!!!! I was totally smitten and this image was one of the first I bought..Its Hero Arts called 'Holiday Geese'. Over the years I changed styles and then discovered 'Sizzix Die Cuts'... had a brain storm and cleared all my rubber stamps out..I have to say they werent like the ones we can buy today and I was getting rather fed up with the limited use..(totally unlike today)..yes I actually threw them away..oh the shame..but I hung on to this one (and another Christmas one... I'll show you that one another time). Well I was sorting out my craft room the other day..(now cant find a thing!!!) and came across this in a box of stash. I inked it up yesterday and had a little play and this is the result. But check out the pic below as this really got me..

I bought this stamp in 1989..which makes it 20yrs old!!! nearly an Antique!!! OMG!!!..I have been cardmaking for over 20 years!!!!..and the thing is..and I just hate to think about it....how much money I have spent over the past 20yrs on crafting stash!!!..I could be rich !!! lol..

The DP's are by Fancy Pants - Christmas Magic..I think...Craftwork Flowers..lots and lots of crystals for OTT bling!!! a little ribbon and Craftworks sentiment ...

Just to share...

Hi all..yes its been a while since I posted anything..just thought I would share a couple of cards with you..this is one of the first of the Christmas batch..darling Tilda in pink!!.

And....
This one is my very first attempt at colouring with copics...I thought I would give them a go as they seem to be the thing to use these days..the trouble is...I could get hooked but I want all the colours..I'm not a 'just a few' kinda girl... I'm going to have to have the whole range..lol..!!

Anyway..I'll be back soon as I have some DT cards to post in the week..hope you are all well..and thank you for all your lovely comments I truly appreciate them thank you!!

A B C Challenge - G for Green DT Card

Hi All...This is my DT card for this weeks A B C Challenge G for Green... I thought that this suited darling 'Windswept' rather well so coloured her with polycromos. The DP's are by 'Graphic 45'... I have had these in my stash for ages and quite forgot about them!! I love the leafy one...I also found the gems in my stash which just went so well with the theme..do go and check out the other DT creations!!...

Hi...I'm Back!!

Hi Guys...well I'm back from my travels and I had a great time...it was really thrilling to see the animals in their own habitat..had a lovely rest around the pool and the beach..and the tan came on a treat!!! lol..the only downside was a touch of food poisoning. The hotel where we stayed was really quite nice but the chef..well he had funny ideas about food..I expected it to be different and I am always game to try new things...which might have been my downfall.. but I have to tell you that one night the menu advised that the starter would be 'Avocado Prawn Salad'...YUM!! I thought..one of my favorites....umm..well when it arrived...there was no avocado only a mixture of what seemed to be melon and cucumber and one chopped up prawn!!!! another night the dessert was 'Lime Souffle' well that was very interesting..the colour was bright emerald green and had the consistency of wallpaper paste (not that I have eaten wallpaper paste I hasten to add!!! lol!!!) and as for the taste..well..it tasted of..nothing..no lime..no fruity taste..nothing... But hey it was an experience.. here are a few pics...






Just before I went away I had a couple of DT cards to do but didnt get a chance to post them..the first one is for this months Creatalicious Challenge #3 and the theme this time is to use up your scraps and flowers you have made yourself. I based this card around the lovely purple spotted DP..I only had enough to punch the flowers and then I used a border punch on the petals to give them a 'lacy look'.. I hope it worked!! lol..do go and check out the other DT creations..they are such a clever lot!! lol..


The other DT card is for ABC Challenge F for Flying...I used this cute 'Pink Gem' image that arrived the morning I was due to fly out!! but I managed to make this card before I left for the airport..DB thought I was mad!!! anyway.. I hoped it fitted the bill as it was my first DT entry for ABC.. do go and check out the other DT creations..such great inspiration!!

Well I hope to be back again in a day or two with some more cards..I have itchy fingers and cant wait to get going on some christmas ones...

Stampin' Chic Colour Challenge - Autumnal

I used CCSR (TM) Clear Stamps - Doodles. Anita's (TM) Ribbon. The DP's are by 'Graphic 45' Papermania (TM) Textured Coloured Card and Sizzix Leaves. (can you tell I'm not happy with it)..lol..

Hi Guys..Well its my final week of being a Guest on the design Team for Tilda & Friends and I have throughly enjoyed it. The theme for this week is to use punches on your creation and I have chosen my favorite flower punch. Do go and check out the DT creations.

Home Alone.......

Hi all...well I have been home alone this weekend ..DB has been away footballing with the boys..and I managed to get some 'me time' and got some crafting done..I've just posted some challenges that I have managed to do while I had the peace and quite and... I made this..too..

...arent they just the sweetest...The image is called Misletoe and Mice and when I saw it on Craftsulove's website I had to have it!! (dont tell as I should be saving up for spending money for hols) It was a joy to colour and this is definately going to be THE christmas image for my cards this year...hope you all had a great weekend..and thank you all for your lovely comments..I really do appreciate them..

Sketch Saturday Challenge #69

Hi again...There's a great sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week that I couldnt resist so I used another of my new Sugar Nellie Manga girls..just loving these little cuties and they are a joy to colour..so the DP's are MME.. added a little bit of ribbon with a pearly buckle and finshed with a few punched flowers. I did a little bit of doodling too as when I finshed, it looked a bit flat..and I think the faux stitching solved the problem..do check of the DT creations ..they are truly inspiring..

Colour Create Challenge #27 - Neon Green & Black

Hi..This is my entry for this weeks Colour Create Challenge. Just love these colours so had to have a go. I used one of my new Sugar Nellie Manga Girl..The DP'S are Doodlebug (I think) and I layered punched flowers and wrapped some sparkley fibre around..finished with Craftworks Card Candy. Stampin' Chic Sketch Challenge

Hi Guys...this is my DT card for this weeks challenge over at Stampin' Chic. Its a sketch this time and its a great one..quite simple so I wanted to use something delicate. So I chose a lovely peachy colour with a touch of spring green. After I cut the nestie circle it reminded me of a flower so I punched large flowers and cut the petals off and embossed them to give them a bit of 'volume' and then added a centre and then the butterfly which I coloured with polychromos pencils then added lots of gems for extra bling. Do come and join us it would be great to see your creations..

DP's Papermania Exquisite (Tm) Papermania (TM) textured Coloured Card. Punched Petals. CCSR Clear Stamps - Doodles. Papermania(TM) Adhesive Stones.

Just A Little Snowman.........

Hi Guys..Just thought I would share this little cutie with you today...I got him all the way from Impressions Obsessions after seeing him on Watermelon Sugar. Please go and check out Katarina's blog... her creations are totally awesome and it was one of the first blogs I stalked before becoming a blogger myself!! lol... The DP is Dovecraft I think..I've lost the packing ..again!!! lol..and I used Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing die for the white bit at the top which you cant see!!! I also added a length of silky fibre but not sure if that works or not..ummm...Anyway... I just love the way he is looking up as if he is about to get squished by a big Snowflake!!! lol..Think he is going to be used a lot on this years Christmas cards!!!

Something to share........

Hi Guys..I hope you will indulge me a little as I would like to share something with you today..back in August I was trying to talk my DB (Dearly Beloved) into having a weeks holiday in France. We had been invited to join my friends at their second home in Brittany...now I have been before but DB hasnt...(its really lovely and being in the middle of nowhere...its ideal for a 'real chill' holiday which both of us could do with)...but he didnt seem too keen. Due to a couple of issues...I gave up my job in January this year, I didnt chose a good year to do it what with the recession and all... and while I have been off work DB has been very supportive...he treated me to a week away in Yorkshire back in March, but for me, a summer holiday this year was totally out of the question...so when we were invited to join my friends, I thought we should grab the chance. Now I spent a whole weekend giving it the hard sell but DB still wasnt having it and I was beginning to think he just didnt like my friends...then he said...'I know you really want to go, but I have to tell you a secret'..(well you can imagine what went through my mind in an instant)...and then he said...'I have been saving for us to go on holiday maybe in October'...well I didnt know what to say...as I felt rather ashamed really for trying so hard and then thinking badly of him. Anyway...take a look at the card below as it might give you a clue as to where he is taking me....

Yep...thats me on the front...in my safari gear!!! lol.. He's taking me to Kenya for a beach and safari holiday!!! I'm so excited!! we fly out beg October!!... going to have a couple of days chillin' on the beach and then a few days on safari and then back to the beach and Indian Ocean!!!
Inside..

I thought I would make the card as a keepsake for me..I based it on the one I made for great nephew Connor a couple of weeks ago...inside I put two 'pockets' which I will put in a couple of precious photos to remind me of my fabulous treat!!...DB has been to Kenya a couple of times before, so he's an old hand at this... but...never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have an opportunity like this...I am one (very excited) lucky girl!!

Tilda & Friends Challenge - Layer It Up !

Hi Guys...over at Tilda & Friends for this weeks challenge, they are wanting to see a bit of decoupage on your creations. For my 'Guest apperance'..lol..this week..I chose this lovely Tilda from the 2009 Fall collection and I 3D'd her little playsuit. I hope you and see it in the pic.. I did try to angle it a bit. Hi Guys..well it this is my DT card for this months Creatalicious Challenge. This month we would like to see your creations using the colours Pink/Burgundy and Green and to use ribbon,lace or fibres. Tilda & Friends Challenge - Shrink 'Em

Hi All..I am thrilled to say that I have been asked to be Guest Designer for September over at Tilda & Friends and this is my ATC for this week's theme "Shrink 'Em", they want to see you use either shrink plastic, or mini images on your ATC. I have used the darling Tilda from this years Fall Collection which is so cute. I have used the cute little rolling pin that comes with the collection and using shrink plastic made it into a cute little charm which I thought went well with Tilda the Chef!!. The dp is a scrap that I found in my stash but I think its by The English Paper Company and I added some brads. I hope it inspires you to come and join in over at Tilda & Friends

A Card to Share.....I'm back!!!

At last I am finally posting again...I have been busy over the weekend making thank you cards for a friend and I managed to colour this little cutie. My manager at work asked me to make a new baby card for a friend and I just rustled it up tonight!!!. Boy! have I missed doing this and I hope now I've got into a routine I can perhaps find a bit more time to create!..and thank you all for your lovely comments. Oh and little bit of news..I have been invited to be a Guest Designer for September over at Tilda & Friends Challenge which I am very chuffed about..so look out on Wednesday for my ATC.

Stampin Chic Challenge - Glitter!!!

Hi Guys
Here is my DT card for this weeks Stampin Chic challenge - Glitter !! I love this colour and wanted to use it for a simple christmas theme..and I think it turned out quite well!! I used the Doodlebug Sugar coated chipboard alphabet and extra glittered it with glitter glue and then a sprinkle of loose irridescent sparkle glitter for super extra sparkle!! and then added some glittered punched snowflakes...and now everything on my desk including the cat is covered in glitter!!

Anyway here's what I used:
DP's CCSR (TM) 'The Big One' Doodlebug (TM) Sugar Coated Chipboard Alphabet.
Glitz It (TM) glitter glue Irrid Sparkle. Punched Snowflakes, Punched glitter circles and Papermanina (TM) Sparkling Trims

Oh it's been so long........

..Since I posted on here...I'm such a bad blogger!!!..lol..the thing is I've just started working full time again...and now there isnt enough hours in the day to do what I want to do!!!
