....the week went on as it started....I have had a huge problem with my left eye....I could see 'debris' floating around together with flashing lights!!..very scary...I saw my GP who made an emergency referral to the eye dept at the hospital...she said I would hear from them within 24hrs...(I saw her Monday evening)...Wednesday, still nothing so I called the hospital who wouldn't speak to me as they only dealt with the referring Doctor..I phoned doctor who was very surprised....but it would have been helpful had her secretary sent the fax!!!!!.....grrrrrr.....anyway to cut a long and very frustrating story short..I took matters into my own hands and went to the A&E dept yesterday and they managed to get me an appointment at the eye clinic for the afternoon...the appointment was for 3.15pm. after a 4 hour wait (grrrrrrr) I was finally examined and was told I didn't have a torn retina.. all was fine...just an ageing process.....so yes its official I'm fraying at the seams....
Now...over at Less is More this week its a 'theme' challenge they want you to use String or Twine....here's my card...
inspired by Chrissie's twine flowers...I covered a circle of card with double sided tape and carefully swirled hemp string into a circle. The stem is from a Memory Box flower die I trimmed a bit to accommodate the 'flower head'...then just matted and added a sentiment and a pearl or two.
Hope you all have a fab weekend...and lets hope that the promised storm will only be in a teacup!!!..lol..
Happy Crafting
Hugs
Jan...xxxx

Love your twine feature! I hope to make something soon. (I, too, experienced the same thing in one of my eyes a few years ago....eye doctor checked everything out okay. The "weirdness" has stopped.)
ReplyDeleteSuper card Jan. Sorry your week has been so awful but a very well deserved 'showcase' to end it :0)

Stunning card Jan. Oh the joys of getting older eh? At least it wasn`t as serious as you thought it might be.
