Hi Guys..today I have been playing as tomorrow I go to back to work.(Yippee in a boo hiss kinda way..lol..) and I have been messing about with Copics...now it was only last week that I was singing the praises of Prismas and Polychromos to one of my Teamies at ABC...and as much as I love blending and making the shading as good as it can be..it is time consuming...so last night I sat and coloured a few Tildas to see if I could get the look I like...I then found out I didnt have enough colours..especially for the hair so I trudged off to my fav craft shop, The Craft Barn...(such a chore..!!! lol) and bought some more..yes I know!!! but its a Valentines pressie to me..from myself..(its the only Valentines pressie that I got...but thats another story!!!! lol...)so after much restraint as I'm a all or nothing girl..lol..I came way with 12 more colours...and so I've played some more this afternoon and here she is:
Its ok...perhaps I should go to a copics class??? What do you experts out there think?....
Hugs
Jan...x
PS..how am I suppose to store them..did I read somewhere they should be horizontal (like DB was on Sunday after I didnt get a Valentines treat!!! lol)...xx
The card is gorgeous....and the colouring looks great to me.
ReplyDeleteI store mine horizontally...but don't actually know if that's correct or not!!
Am with you on The Craft Barn...love it...even though it's a bit of a trek....and did you really only come away with copics??? Gold star if you did!!

Hey sweetie, good luck for tomorrow! I don't think you need to go on to a class for copics, your colouring is beautiful, such a gogeous card!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day tomorrow, let us know how you get on!

P.S. I think I have heard the same - store horizontally!!
Hi Jan - this card is sweet! Love this Tilda! I've used her a couple of times. Love the colours!!
ReplyDeleteI store my Copics vertically, but I store them brush end pointed down as I never use the chisel nib. I store them in the storage boxes you can buy, although one of them I got free with the 72 I bought when I started crafting again in March last year!
Good Luck for the job!

This card is gorgeous Jan, you certainly do not need to go to any classes. You did a brilliant job. I store mine horizontally, but I read either way is fine. They are very addictive, arent they. xo Jackie
ReplyDeleteOh hun, she's is gorgeous! No way do you need to go to classes. I store mine horizontally too, but only because they are flung in a box! Hugs, Squirrel xx
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous, you know you rock!

Your colouring with the copics looks great to me - I'm no expert and can't do all the shading stuff but I just love how easy they are to use and that you can colour digi images without the bleeding. Mine are stored vertically in their storage boxes but I don't think it really matters. Fab card - love the pink dotty papers.

fabulous!!!! I love your copic colouring!!! I am lucky to have a set of 72...would like the other set but I think hubby would have a heart attack if I spent another £120 on pens!! Our local craft shop has just this week sarted selling them indivivually! so I think a few will be falling into my hand each time I go!!! anyway enough of me...your card is just fab! Hugs Juls
