Boy, did this one give me trouble!! As simple as it looks, do you think I could get the dangle and greeting to dangle right..er no. I spent ages on this and got through at least 1/2 yard of organza ribbon, as I was pulling into shape, the threads were parting!! Have to say pic doesnt do it justice the butterfly really sparkles.

Cute little Maggie, having trouble with me Nesties..they are quite new to me and I dont think I bought well. Will have a chat with new mate Lou for some advise.

Ah! a Gorjuss girl, although I love all the Gorjuss Ones I wasnt sure about this one. As cute as the bear is, I think she prob would be better by herself. However, she didnt turn out badly, quite pleased.

Hamish..my fav stamp of him. I couldnt think of how to embellish him, cant do flowers, then the BG paper gave me a clue. I think spots do the job quite well. No dangles for him!! lol

Sweet Tilda in one of my fav combination of colours, with matching dangle!

I bought the vellum butterflies from a fellow ebayer...pic doesnt do much for them but they have beaded bodies. Very lovely. I do like monochrome cards.

Hi..happy Wednesday!!!...been making toppers for ebay..heres today efforts. I got two new Tildas today so will be playing with them later and I heard that my Martha Stewart border punches have arrived and will be shipped to me tomorrow!! Yippee!! Went a bit mad with bead dangles today but they do add a bit of sparkle and we all like sparkle dont we?!! lol Off to paint Tildas..catch you later....Jan x

Hi..this is my entry for the Just Magnolia Challenge 'Pink & Green'. This is only the third challenge that I have entered and look forward to entering more. I have hand cut the scalloped edges and the BG papers are K & Co Classic K Charlotte I love the muted colours but need to have a bit more advice on making the image look a bit more aged..so any comments would be great. Roses and ribbon from stash.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Spots & Stripes

This is my entry for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. I love this colour and as I make so many girly cards I thought I would give Edwin an airing!!! BG paper is from Nana's Nursery stack pack. Cardworks Card Candy Iced Gems and 'Special Brother' label. This is my first entry for this challenge so your comments would be great!...Jan x

Been playing with the girls again today...will be so glad when I have my hands on some Martha Stewart border punches as I have been cutting the scallopes that I seem to love so much with patterned scissors... so time consuming. Why is it that the lovliest things are made in the USA. The designs on MS punches are FAB so why is it the designers in the UK cant come up with anything like them?

Just finished my card for the new baby. I used K & Co Hopscotch Girl papers for this. They are doublesided and I love the muted shades. Might have over embellished with the Iced gems, heyho!!

Hi..Darling niece asked for 'very in your face' ' thank you' card today, as her partners company sent them a huge baby shower basket which displayed baby clothes rolled up into flowers like a huge bouquet. They are very thrilled and touched by the gesture as he has only been working for them for just over a month. I hope the card hits the spot!!!! lol
Opps I think I've just entered the Challenge twice!!!..I'm so new to the blogging lark that I sent my blog instead of a link. Apologies if I've done it wrong..one day I'll get the hang of it. :-)

I seem to have a 'thing' for lime at the moment I have noticed that I have been using it a lot lately in my toppers/cards. Its strange how you take to a colour.

Today has been quite a day , I had a job interview, which I think went well so fingers crossed, and my one and only darling niece made me a Great Aunt again at 3am this morning. Cant wait to see Baby Chloe and have a cuddle!

Just a couple of pics of my toppers

Hi, well today is the first day of my blog and the reason to have this is to keep a record of my designs.

I have been card making for at least 20yrs and have seen lots of different styles over the years that have come and gone and come back again. I have always been creative even when I was little I was always colouring or painting. My first love was rubber stamping, but the rubber stamps available then were not like the rubber stamps available today and I felt a little stunted as to what Ii could do with them. I then discovered die cuts and been using them ever since.

About five years ago a friend suggested that I should try to sell my cards on eBay and after years of doing the rounds craft fairs etc., that seemed a good idea. Unfortunately the cards didn't do well, so I tried just card toppers and they went better. Over the years I have gained quite a few regular customers which enables me to keep going with my card making passion and to try different things.

The current trend on eBay is teddy bears well I say current but its been like that for about 2 years now, anything with a bear on it. I invested in a couple of cute Boo Bear dies from Go Kreate and they are my best seller. However, while browsing through the rubber stamps in my favorite craft shop, The Craft Barn in Lingfield, Surrey, I found some Penny Black little Critters and bought them, well they are so cute I was hooked.

As I have spent a fortune on dies etc., I cant really invest in anymore stamps, but i trawled through eBay and found some stamped images and bought loads. But then I found , and this is when I got really excited... Magnolia Tilda Stamps!. They are fab, they just feed my need to colour. I have also found Sugar Nellie stamps and their Gorjuss Girls are so cute that I have to have them and have pre-ordered the new collection which I hope will arrive this week. I cant wait.

I feel that I have missed so much in rubber stamps by being so into die cutting. I have listed some toppers I made using rubber stamps and they have gone quite well. I am determined that my customers WILL buy these!! lol

If there is anyone out there that's reading this and is into card making I would love to hear from you.
