ABC Challenge - M for Masking - DT Card

Wow...how much did you all enjoy last week's challenge??? We had a record breaking number of entries...I wonder who will bag the fab prize from Lacey at Stamp & Create and be in our Top 5 !!!

Anyway this week is:

'M for Masking'

Not something I do very often I have to say but I really enjoyed making my card and maybe went a bit OTT with it..I maked 3 times!!! using my very favourite Magnolia Daisy Stamp...The card is a tad larger than I usually make..it had to be to fit in all those Daisies!! lol....Now maybe some of you are new to this and if you would like some tips our lovely Vicky did a tutorial which can be found here if you need help or even a refresher.

The DP's are Papermania Capsule Collection Range in Red Hot..gorgeous colours...I kept it simple as I think the daisies says it all and just added a few Card Candy's and a tulle bow...I hope you will join us at ABC this week. do go and check out my 'teamies' creations and we look forward to seeing yours!!!

Just Magnolia Challenge - Thank you

Teddy Stampers Challenge #2 - Recipe..

Now how could I not want to enter Teddy Stampers new Challenge Blog...you just cant beat a Teddy for cuteness!!!..lol..I still have my old Teddy..he's a bit battered now...but he has a very smart knitted suit that keeps him in tact. He was bought for me when I was born by my Auntie Louie...and in my baby book that my mum kept..he is listed as one of my favourite toys along with a saucpan lid and wooden spoon!!! lol..anyway..back to the challenge...I used this retired (so I'm told) image of these saucy girlie Teds...and the recipe is 1 ribbon, 2 DP's and 3 brads..now I dont normally 'do' brads...as they are so fiddly but I made the exception this time the DP's are Forever Friends Pink Parfait which I have to say are just too delicious...

Sugar Bowl meets Totally Gorjuss...and A Spoonful of Sugar....

Over at the Sugar Bowl Challenge this week there is a fab sketch by Kathy with a bit of distressing...and...Totally Gorjuss Challenge has a theme of monotone - as in one colour of your choice...and A Spoonful of Sugar wants to see lots of layers...so this is my card....

..I used all my scraps of black and white DP's I could find..but cant name them..mind you some of them could be Doodlebug...I distressed the edges as required for the Sugar Bowl challenge...and coloured my favourite Gorjuss Girl...and added a little faux stitching...the Dt cards are very inspirational do go and check them out...

Cute Card Thursday Challenge - Pink & Grey.....

Hi...this is my entry for Cute Card Thursday the colour combo is one of my many favourites - Pink & Grey..and I coloured a sweet Doraline as she hasnt been out much lately..lol..the sketch was quite simple but thats how we like them!!..the DP's are a mixture of MME and a digi download... few bits of Craftworks Card Candy and a bit of glitter....do pop over and check out the DT creations...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Colour Combo...

..a great challenge this week at Penny Black which gives me a chance to use my fav PB image..its so cute... the the DP is K & co...I used a satin gold card..not too shiny and added a organza bow with a silk flower and lots of pearls... and a touch of gold glitter..do check out the DT creations...so lovely..

Stamp Something meets Fussy & Fancy......

Hi all..well I've had a lovely crafty weekend..and have got lots of challenges done...but I'm going to pace myself... so here is the first one....

..this is for Stamp Something Challenge which is a colour combo of Blue & White and for Fussy & Fancy challenge which is 'Winter'...I thought that this cute PB Puppy did the trick nicely..the DP is Forever Friend..with a bit of Bazzill cardstock and I added a sprinkle of pola white Flowersoft for the snow effect...do go and check out the DT creations..

..For my card I used K & Co DP's a darling Tilda..she is a Christmas one but I think she covers most occasions really..used my new MS border punch..which I'm sure you will be sick of seeing...lol... my usual punched flowers...and added some pearls. Creatalicious Challenge - My Last Dt Card....

Hi guys..this is my last DT card for Creatalicious Challenge and I'm very sad to go..thank you to Bec and Cheryl for the opportunity to be part of the team..I have loved every single challenge...Now for this months challenge... we dont want to see any stamped images but you can stamp sentiments and use punches,diecuts and stickers(anything as long as it is not stamped or a digi image)...well I had to dust off my dies for this one..and chose Darling Boo Bear...now until I came back to stamping..I was heavily into die's and Boo bear was a very favourite..in fact every card I made had him on it in various guises...Now this one I created myself I have to say...sold a couple on eBay and then everyone copied...and that was that...the flower pot is Sizzix and the 'leaves; are a Quickutz grass die...Sorry cant remember where the DP's are from...little punched flowers and butterflies...everyone loves a Teddy Bear...do go and check out the teams creations and we hope you will join us this month...cant wait to see your creations

Something Simple.....

Hi guys...well after yesterdays trauma..I decided that I would do something simple and dug out my little Hedgey friend and have a play..and I'm going to enter him for this weeks challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This week they have two sketches..both fab but I chose to do #2...

..the pretty DP's are Forever Friends Pink Parfait Paper Pack..(yes one of the new ones..)these are just so pretty that I broke my heart to cut them..but I think Hedgey compliments them perfectly....
Oh and look at old grumpy here...

...she's sitting on my crafting chair next to the rad..with a perfect view of the garden especially the tree with the bird feeder on...she's fed up as she cant or I should say WONT go out because of the cold and snow...she is such a wuss..!!! oh and Darling Lily is not talking to me as I forgot her cat sweeties when I went shopping this morning...its a tough life innit Lily...???

Now for something different...and a challange...

Hi Guys..you might want to get yourself a cuppa while reading this..its a sorry tale...so much for my New Years Resolution...'Not to buy anymore Stash'...'Stash' being DP's..now I don't really need any..I must have every paper pad that has been made from Basic Grey to K & Co to Doodlebug etc...you get my drift..(no snow pun intended..but yes we got more of the damn stuff today..ok..ok fed up with it now...getting a bit cabin feverish!!!! lol)...oops sorry...ok... where was I...oh yes..DP's..I have loads..and I mean loads...DB thinks I'm crazy when I drool over them...but hey..we all do it...

Now...on Monday...I was just having a little stroll around the websites...(Cutting Edge Crafts) and I happen to come across Papermania latest releases...I just thought I would have a peak..as you do...I'm not totally keen on some of their stuff but I'm trying to wean myself off Tildas for a bit ... well that little peak resulted in me buying...(shhhh don't tell...) 4 new pads...!! and one of them was 'Honey & Hugs'...they looked really pretty and I thought they would do nicely for spring and Easter...well they arrived yesterday (fab service from Cutting Edge Crafts...and no p&p!!!) and boy they are gorgeous..(and they have cute little rubber stamps and stickers and rub on thingys all to match)..some of the papers have the little characters on and I just thought well I'll see if CEC have the stamps in stock...ummm..and do you know what?..that cute little lambie one just happened to jump into my shopping basket and before you knew it he was on my doorstep this morning!!!..(thanks again CEC!!)

I just had to ink it up and make a card..or so I thought...well it was decided that he didn't look right stamped in black and so I had to improvised with silver ink and a bit of black..anyway we got there...did bit of colouring in err...grey...and then got the papers together...thought it would be fun to have one of the sheets with the lambies all over..a little bit of the lovely pink stripes ..a little bit of border punching and bit of that lovely sparkly ribbon I got from hobbycraft the other day...(opps dont tell)...maybe he'll look good on a nestie..no..dont like that..unstuck him and tried him by himself..no don't like that..unstuck him...maybe the nestie was fine after all...ummm..ok..punched flowers..card candy...a bit of sparkle..there..done...then I realised that I have covered up most of the lovely DP that I bought the rubber stamp to go with in the first place!!!...Have a look..see what I mean..

and after all that I'm not totally happy with it...but I'm going to enter it for this weeks challenge over at Cute Card Thursday - All New!!.....now where's my Tildas......

A B C Christmas Challenge - B for.....

....Bell...and as its Helen's challenge she has added an option of Glitter....

...So for my DT card for this week's A B C Christmas Challenge...I have used the lovely Tilda with Bell but gave her a real one with a lovely glittery bow...

...I have also added extra glitter to the silver snowflake for extra glitz....The DP is Forever Friends and I used a touch of Pola White Flowersoft to Tilda's hood and coat and to the snow...Do go and check out my 'teamies' creations and we hope you will come and join us this week... More Snow..and more Challenges!!!!!

Hi Guys..I hope you're all keeping nice and warm... we've had more snow overnight here in Kent...cant go anywhere..too cold and icy..so I've been crafting...I found loads of challenges to get the old mojo working...

first...

This is my entry for this week's Allsorts Challenge..they have a fab sketch to follow and I chose a 'Peach & Pewter' colour combo and used my new Martha Stewart border punch. The DP is by Paper Cellar..I do like plaid paper!!..had to colour a darling Tilda for this... and I'm quite pleased how it all turned out!!!...do go and check out the DT cards..they are truly fab...
Now the next one...

...is for Sugar Nellie. ..another sketch...and I coloured a cute little Manga girl for this...the DP is by Sizzix...I doodled a little faux stiching and added some craftworks card candy...

Next...

..is for Magnolia Down Under..now you all know my love of Magnolia's Tilda so I just had to have a go at this one..They want you to use a stamp thats meant for one theme which you can use for another. I choose this cute Christmas present Tilda as I think she is great for birthday cards too as she has just a little piece of holly in her hair which you can cover with a tiny flower, like I have..lol..the DP is Basic Grey and I used one of my fav colour combo....do go and have a look at the lovely DT cards... and they also have a DT Call at the moment which I'm thinking about entering....

..the next card...

..is for Truly Scrumptious...they have a fab sketch and colour combo challenge this week...Pink Green and Black...I used my cute litle ketto stamp for this..she hasnt been out much lately and I thought she would suit the K & Co DP's...I added little co ordinating punched flowers and Craftworks Card Candy....

and Finally....(phew)

...is for FOUR Challenges...lol...I used the fab sketch over at Secret Crafters Saturday Sketch..and used one of 'my fav colour combo' which happens to be the challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge...and the Quixotic Challenge is 'Hot Chocolate' which I thought summed up the colours nicely...and last but not least...the Basic Grey DP has hearts on it and I used cute pearly hearts and a Magnolia stamp with hanging hearts....so I have entered it for the A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge 'Hearts'...
Now I'm off for a lie down...lol..well at least a cup of tea..to get over this long blog....

Two Cards...Four Challenges....

Hi Guys...well as its been so awful outside today ..I stayed in the warm and found some challenges to do...My first card...

is for Allsorts Challenge..a great sketch and you have a choice to either show off the craft goodies you got for Christmas or be good and use up your old stash!!!..well I'm showing off...lol..DB (Dearly Beloved) bought me loads..including a Martha Stewart around the page punch set..and I have used it on the corners of the DP and cardstock..also he gave me some vouchers for Hobbycraft so I stocked up on K & Co DP's and some embellies...Pearls etc., and I have used them too...
My next card

is combined with Sketch Saturday, My Time to Craft Challenge - Blue & Brown and Totally Gorjuss - Thank you card....I used the fab Saturday Sketch to make the Totally Gorjuss card... in Blue & Brown..!! the DP is Basic Grey..I love is combo..and have used my other christmas pressie from my sister...another Martha Stewart border punch..oh and the punches for the flowers were bought by DB too...its amazing that he knew what I would like...mind you I did leave a wish list or two lying around..lol...
and lastly...here's another thing I made earlier....

...lol...well it just had to be done!!!

A.B.C. Challenge - L for.......

'LAYERING'

This week at ABC we want to see lots of layers on your creations ... either layered papers or images.

Heres my card...

I wanted to make something bright and chose these lovely DP's from K & Co...and just layered and matted co ordinating papers together with Darling Tilda. The 'felty' flowers are from Hobbycraft..its like a wired ribbon on a roll but I cut off the flowers..I love the effect and am kicking myself for not buying all the colours!!!..lol..

And... we have to welcome a New Design Team member on board. Lorraine (Lols) has agreed to join the Design team!!!! and more good news.... Cathy is back too....welcome back Cathy we have missed you!

Just to Share....

Hi all..hope you're not too snowed in!!!...sorry I havent been about for a few days..I didnt have a good start to the New Year..My Mum was taken ill on New Years Day..in fact I had to call an ambulance for her!!! it was a worry..she's had a bad cold since Boxing day..and just didnt get better as the week went on and on friday she just collapsed on the way to the bathroom!!!..anyway the paramedics were fab and whisked her off to hospital..she's got a bad chest infection...she's is 84 bless her and has angina too..so we have been quite worried..but I'm happy to say that after some excellent care she came home today...so I'm playing nursey..not sure I'm cut out for the role though...lol...so while she was napping I managed to put this together...I got the image from eBay..its Magnolia...when I saw it I thought it would make a lovely card for Mothers Day... yes I know I'm a bit premature...in fact in hindsight I should have made it a get well card shouldnt I????...Just wasnt thinking....Oh well too late now....I'll make one tomorrow.......

I chose to do a New Baby card and this is one of my favorite images for baby cards and i dont think you can beat a bit of gingham for them too!! the DP is from Craft Creations..I used a new one of my new Martha Stewart border punches..I just love this one and I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of it on my cards..lol...
