Kraftin' Kimmie - Part Two - Again...

Hi yes two in one day...as mentioned before I was chosen to be in the Top 10 for Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Contest last week..and now for the next round we have to make a card with the theme of 'Pretty in Pink'..here's my 2nd card...

This is Bella....she is coloured with Copics and pencils.  The DP's are Carta Bella - Party Girl'
I used a sweet heart doily and a scallop border punch...The flowers are WOC and I got the pretty organza ribbon at the NEC last year. I finished with lots of sparkle and pink gems.

Well that's it I think.
Thank you for stopping by

Kraftin Kimmie - Part Two..

Hello...I hope this finds you all well...you know that I entered Kraftin' Kimmie's Guest contest last week....well I was thrilled to be chosen for one of the Top 10... Yay!!!!!  So now for the next round we have to make a card with the theme of 'Pretty in Pink'....well I love pink so this is what I came up with...

This is Dorothy...she coloured with Copics and pencils,,,the papers are a mixture and as I had so many pads on my desk deciding which ones to use I don't know what pads they came from...lol...I used MS border punch for that lovely lacy edge and another for the butterflies.  The die cut bow is a Memory Box die that's been trimmed and I finished with WOC flowers, an organza ribbon and my usual sparkle and pearls.

Oh well wish me luck..fingers crossed....

Rings On Her Fingers, Bells on Her Toes....

Hi... well yes showing my age with an old nursery rhyme...but this sweet Saturated Canary does remind me of that...she is called Gypsy Dancer......

I've had this digi image for a little while..I have a love/hate thing with digis as my printer ink is a bit hit and miss with any mediums of colouring.  I have used Copics for this sweetie but that's after I've sprayed the paper with hair spray and left it to dry for almost a week...lol...sometimes that works and sometimes I get smudges...grrr... anyway this one behaved itself...

I don't know which DP's I used as I had so many out on my desk..but I will edit later..as she is very exotic I wanted to give her a bit of a' Kazbar' look about her..lol..so I used a memory box border die with a piece of sparkly DP and added coordinating pearls ...I wanted to get a kind of tasselled look if you know what I mean and I used  three threads of embroidery cotton instead of ribbon and tied on little bells.....'so she will have music wherever she goes'....lol...

Addicted to CAS...maybe....

Happy Wednesday to you all...I been practising my CAS cards...I find these take just as long as 'colouring in' to do..lol...I get really scared when it comes to stamping direct onto the card blank and I practise on scrap paper over and over till I've got the confidence to go for it!! I also seem to be stuck in black and white mode..but CAS to me is crisp white space...

Here are two that I made yesterday..
The sentiment for this one was stamped and punch out..

the sentiment for this one had been stamped onto the card as well as  the sweet button embossing...phew..!!..lol...
As you can see I still have to put just a teeny bit of colour on them too...a red gem on the first one and a red thread on the button for this one....yes I need to get a bit more brave adventurous..lol..

I'm going to enter these two for this weeks challenge at

Addicted to CAS - Embossing

Its still cold and snowy here so I'm not going out today... Mr Sainsburys kindly delivered my groceries yesterday so me and Ollie will have a quick (very quick) stroll around the block and then back into the craft room .

Here's Ollie snuffling around the the bird table yesterday after I put some old biscuits out for the birds..little monkey you would think I don't feed him!!!..lol...

Better Late Than Never...

Hi...I've been waiting for some Kraftin' Kimmie stamps to arrive...I wanted to use them for the Kraft Guest Contest..but they didnt arrive in time thanks to the weather...(would you believe its snowing here again tonight!!!)...anyway they arrived today and I got colouring straight away...here is Bella..

The whole card was planned around the frilly gingham ribbon!!..lol...Bella is coloured with copics...the pink spotty DP is Bo Bunny but the Black and white bit is a scrap.  The Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl (I think) and I used a Die-namics flower die and finished with some Card Candi and sparkle.  I'm going to enter it for this weeks Kraftin Kimmie Challenge - A trio of Embellishments...being Ribbon, Flowers and Card Candi...

Have a great evening

A Tag!!!

Back again...while I had the dies out on my desk for the card for Allsorts..I noticed that The Ribbon Girl January Challenge Bonanza is a colour theme - Pink and Cream.

I've been itching to make a tag as its something I dont usually do..so had a little play and this is what I came up with.

I stamped the pink bazzill with a Hero Arts background stamp and cut out the sunflowers with cream bazzill and cream pearl card.   I added a bit of cheesecloth for texture and the leaves are a Cheery Lynne die (Ithink) which I snipped.  I edged the flowers with Frayed Burlap for depth and added sparkle.  I finished with a piece of the lace and pearl which I just adore (from The Ribbon Girl) Liquid pearls and my usual pearl gems.
Another view

A close up  of the gorgeous sunflower..I so love this die...

Thank you for stopping by and for all your lovely comments..I really do appreciate them all

Flower Power at Allsorts....

Happy Monday!!..the theme at Allsorts made me smile...the thing is I remember the original flower power from my youth...yup I was a bit of a hippy...lol....long flowing skirts and smocks and beads..rows and rows of the tiny colourful beads..and wait for it..I painted tiny flowers around my eyes too...I had long hair with white streaks in which I would colour to match whatever I wore... I was working in my first job...a window dresser and I was known in the shopping centre as Streaky...lol...Oh and now I feel really old...lol...so on to my card..nothing hippy about this...

This gorgeous sunflower die is by Die-namics...(mind you I was loosing the will to live while poking all the little dots out of the middle bits!) the DP's is by Bazzill...I think the leafy die is by Cheery Lynne...I distressed all the flowers with Frayed Burlap..finished with a beautiful satin and organza ribbon and the usual pearls..I love this Krafty and Kreme look...

A Teeny Tiny Card for Less is More....

Hello...hope you are all having a great weekend.  This afternoon I managed to rustle up a teeny card for this weeks Less is More challenge - Theme - Friends...

Its only 4" square. I used Hero Arts stamp from a old Pocketful o' Posies set. I paper pieced the rose with a tiny piece of DP with a tiny heart pattern and used a 3D pad to raise it a little to give it dimension. I coloured the leaves and stem with Copics...then to finished with the sweet Friend to Friends sentiment and a teeny tiny heart gem.

Thanks for popping by

Kraftin' Kimmie...

Happy Saturday everyone!!...hope you're enjoying the snow....lol...what is it with this country (UK) we are never prepared for it no matter what we do..lol...BBC even put a programme on last night about the snow...jezzz!!!

Anyway back to Kraftin' Kimmie.. I saw that they were having a Guest Contest at the beginning of the week and I promptly bought some  Kraftin' Kimmie stamps from Dies to Die For...in the hope I would get them in time to enter. Well I have been waiting for the postman and right up to this minute, because of the snow, they still haven't arrived.  The contest ends tomorrow and as I SO wanted to take part I've been a bit cheeky and used this little sweetie instead...

Yes I know she is a Sassy Sally by Sassy Cheryl but as Sassy Cheryl is an Artist for Kraftin Kimmie I do hope the ladies at KK will still consider my entry.

Sally is coloured with Copics, The DP's are Papermania Spots and Stripes Pastels. The theme for Kimmies Challenge is to use something metallic, so I have used a pretty spacer with a pearly brad.  The Flower is a new Die-namics Die and I finished with co ordinating ribbon, pearls and sparkle.

Ladies at Kraftin'Kimmie please don't disqualify me for being a bit cheeky...it's 'cos of the snow!!!.lol...

A Girlie Girl...

Hi guys...after having a stressy day yesterday due to meeting with the 'big bosses' at my Mums Nursing Home trying to get some issues sorted out..I thought I would have a nice quiet day today.  I spent some time hopping about blogland checking some lovely creations and then I spent the afternoon in my craft room.

I see that Stampin' for the Weekend and Divas by Design have similar Challenges this week.

So when it comes to Girlie it has to be a Tilda
She is coloured with DI pens (still trying to get the hang of them) I know she isn't a very girlie colour but I just love these DP's by Fancy Pants

I used some gorgeous lace with pearls from The Ribbon Girl together with their Organza rose ribbon which I cut (ouch!)and arranged as flowers.  I finished with seam binding ribbon and the usual pearls and sparkle.

Well that's me done for tonight
Off to bed with a hot water bottle and a snuggle from Lily...Ollie stays downstairs in his bed
'night all

Nothing Quite like a Teddy Bear....

Hi Guys..yes I'm back again with yet another card...I'm pleased that the old mojo is flowing as last year I struggled a bit at times...but at the moment I'm having happy hours in the craft room ..I gave up a DT last week as I was feeling a bit under pressure and thought my hobby was suffering for it ...you know what we do should be an enjoyment...and not a chore.. I'm still with ABC but their challenges are so varied its a pleasure to be on such a great team.

Anyway back to today....here is a little LOTV sweetie that popped on my door mat this week...

Yay!!....

Yes Yay!! indeed..I think I have finally got the hang of Timmy's DI pens...lol.  You may remember that last year I bought the whole set of the pens on a whim..and was really disappointed as they just wouldn't do what I wanted them to do...well they have sat on my shelf tormenting me since...

They began waving at me again this week so I did a bit of research..it would appear I might have been misinformed about the type of paper I should use..so I 'invested' (and yes I mean 'invested'...more like took out some shares in the company...lol...) in a watercolour pad..so sat down this afternoon and gritted my teeth as I was determined to master them....I used one of my new Tildas..well it just had to be a Tilda didn't it..lol...

Here she is...

I'm quite pleased how it turned out.   The DP is Maja...I just love them..totally hooked..just bought two more pads in case I cant buy them anywhere...lol...
I used a new (well for me ) Martha Stewart punch to shape the edge of Tilda..god I held my breath, as I had finished colouring her and then I thought I should have shaped the edges first!!  I didn't want to add flowers as I thought she had enough already..lol...so kept it all simple..I used a new Memory Box Butterfly die and punched a couple of hearts and finished with organza ribbon, a clear sparkle button, pearls and sparkle.

I'm going to enter this for the following challenges
Allsorts Challenge - Dies and Punches
Try it Tuesday - New Stash

Well I'm off to have another play

I am entering this for two Challenges

Anyway...here's a sweet  Tilda to share...its been while since I've just sat and coloured and thats what I did today...this sweet one is the free stamp from Magnolia magazine recently...although I've cut her legs off as she seemed to be wearing woolly tights but thought they looked liked she had hairy legs instead...lol..

just love that sweet puppy...

she is coloured with copics..the Dp's are Maja...the delicious lace/pearl ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl..the satin organza ribbon for the bow is SU.  I used my new Memory Lane heart die...and finished with more pearls and sparkle.

A CAS Card for Allsorts...

When I first started blogging...a zillion light years ago..lol...one of the first Challenges I entered was Allsorts...I have been lucky enough to be picked for their Top 5 a few times and you know I am more thrilled with that than winning a prize..lol...anyway...I had to join them this week for their CAS Challenge...here's my card
Yes thats it!! so very CAS...lol...I had to sit on my hands so I didnt over embellish...the stamp is from PB Social Butterfly set again...I stamped with versafine and just popped an a couple of red gems. Simples...I also made another...
This is for my best friend as her darling Dad is very poorly in hospital..its very sad as they have been told to expect bad news anyday.... I kept it all very simple again and managed to use some Papertrey Stamps and dies that I found on eBay months ago and I finished with pearls and red gems again.

I see that this weeks challenge at Less is More is Black and White with a little colour...I have been itching to enter one of their challenges so for the first time ever I am entering both cards for both challenges...ooer!!! lol..

Hope you all have a great weekend

A Challenge Card!!!

Well who would have thought...I have finally made a card for a challenge...lol...I couldn't resist this weeks Penny Black Challenge - January Blues as that is exactly what I have!!..here's my card

I masked the white card and applied Tim's DI in Stormy Sky - very apt...the stamp is the gorgeous PB Social Butterfly...just love these stamps. The torn DP is LOTV Nits Wits and I added loads of sparkle. You are going to have to give me a little artistic licence as I'm sure that Butterfly's aren't really a chilly January kinda thing...but making the card really cheered me up...lol...!!!

Have some others in the pipe line..
.I'll be back!!

Ummmm....

First of all may I wish you all a very Happy New Year...Yes I'm a little late but I haven't been in a very good frame of mind...This time of the year isn't my favourite..I find it all rather depressing so I have been in one of those 'cant be bothered' moods.

Unfortunately the mood has made me be very naughty and I didn't post my DT card for the current ABC challenge - E for Embossing....but here it is now

Its a CAS card made with a Clearly Besotted stamp...in fact I have cased one of Stephanie's gorgeously simple cards for this and the embossing bit is the piece of kraft cardstock.
I do hope you will join in the challenge and I'll be checking out your creations shortly...

I've been trying to snap out of this mood by having a major tidy up of my craft room trying to find a place for everything..now its done I don't want to mess it up...lol...my new years resolution is to try and tidy up as I make..Ha!!  Anyway... I have been in there today having a play...I found this sweet Boofle stamp in a bargain bin at Hobbycraft...

I coloured him with my pencils...I haven't used them for ages and I thought that I would go back to them to try and get the old mojo working again....I think it worked...lol...

Then as I was on a roll...lol...I coloured up a Gorjuss Girl that has been lying around for ages...and I wanted to have a try of a new die I had for Christmas..its the only crafty thing I got ...

Its the bow...a fab Die-amics die which will be used a lot me thinks...lol...

So now it seems I'm back on track I hope to be around with some more cards...watch this space!!
