Sweet Pea...

Hi Guys....well its been a busy old week here in my craft room...I have been beavering away making cards for the craft fair next week...I just hope that I have done enough and my cards are tempting enough for people to part with their pennies ...Its a new Craft Fair so I really don't know how its going to go down...anyway...

I also have had lots of parcels delivered this week...a back order from SSS...I've been waiting since before Christmas for that...lots from Dies to Die for...and I was lucky enough to grab some of Stephanie's Clearly Besotted Stamps new releases...oh my...I have to say these are fab..I wanted them all but have just place a big order from Stampin' Up so had to show a little restraint...lol...

I have used the Garden Fresh set for this weeks Less is More Challenge..its one layer with Anything Goes...so I chose this .....

A simple little pea pod that I stamped with a couple of shades of green...used the sentiment from the set....and simple border from a Uniko Studio set - Round in Circles, finished with a couple of nailheads.

I spent all day yesterday playing with the new releases and I will share the results tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Somewhere Over the Rainbow.....

Hi...yes I've been singing that since I saw that this weeks Challenge over at Less is More is 'Rainbow'.  They are also celebrating their third birthday....well congratulations ladies  and I hope your wonderful challenge will continue for another glorious 3 years!!

I also have to thank them for showcasing my Baby card...its such a thrill to be chosen.

Anyway...here is my card for this weeks challenge

I used a MFT stamp set Abstract Art for this and stamped the rainbow using Memento Dew Drops.  Then used a SSS die and cut three and mounted them on top of each other to give a bit of depth and then used the cute teeny sequin stamps from a Mama Elephant stamp set to add a few embellies as well as a couple of  'nailheads'.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope to be back tomorrow with some to share.

Spring's Soft Dream....

(...Wishful thinking....)....well the title of this post is for a new challenge blog that I just happened to come by....Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge!!! what a great way to start the week !! yes I know its Thursday...ok so I'm a little late with this...but after seeing the Photo Inspiration I had to join in...

What a lovely room....and those butterflies???...dreamy....lol....anyway...here's my take...

I went for the soft peachy hues of the room together with the flow of light.  I used pearlescent embossing paste on the tag which I slightly coloured with SU Calypso Coral and the stencil is by Memory Box.  I punched the butterflies from vellum and coloured the back with the ink again.  Once all adhered in place I added a stroke of Wink of Stella to make them very sparkly and finished with gems which I thought reflected the light and the mirror in the pic.

Do pop over and check out Taheerah's fantastic creation and why not take part the challenge is open until Sunday.

A Little Birdie.....

Hi..Happy Thursday to you....not long till the weekend now....today I have a little card to share...I spotted these stamps while I was hopping around your lovely blogs and as they are such fun and totally NOT me I had to have them...lol....

The stamps are by The Alley Way - Bird Brain...and I got them from My Mums Craft Shop...here is just a couple of the cute stamps...

I paper pieced the sweet birdie and coloured the rest with Promarkers and just mat and layered the cardstock.  The sentiment is from a Lawn fawn set.  I just love that cheeky little worm.....

.....and talking of cheeky....this morning while sitting at my desk with a cup of tea wondering what to do today I happen to glance out the patio doors to spot this cheeking monkey doing acrobats trying to get at the peanuts I've put out for the birds....sorry its not a great pic as I just grabbed my camera and snapped before he ran away...and there is a weird shadow going on too but...

If you can see the squirrel is hanging upside down by his back feet and making a grab for the peanut feeder...it is behind the other 'fat ball' feeder so its quite hard to see but he is having a lovely time nibbling away!!!...lol.....

Right...Postman has just delivered the SSS February Card Kit I ordered..whoo hooo!! now I know what I'll be doing today....lol....

More to Share....

Hi again....I think I might have mentioned before that I have a craft fair in February so I have been hard at it in the craft room. The fair is at my sister's village hall on Saturday 15th so I haven't made any Valentines cards but I've been trying to make a few Mothers day cards which in the UK usually is in March.  I'm having trouble finding some Mothers day sentiments stamps, I guess that I'm a bit early, so if you spot any please let me know.....

I just love this SSS Heart Flower die...I'll probably be using it a lot.  I used a MFT cloud die for the hilly grass I just cut and trimmed it to fit the bottom of the card.  I finished with twine  and dodgy looking birds.

The next card has yet another Tag...lol...

For this I played with a Teresa Collins DP pad - Sweet Afternoon and some Lil'Inker Designs 'stitched' rectangle dies (so in love with these) the fish tail banner is from a MFT blue print die set, the tag is from MFT 'Pierced' Traditional Tag Stax.  I finished with a SSS 'Happy' die and stamp set and a SU butterfly punch which I wrapped a tiny bit of silver thread around for a bit of bling..oh and a few sequins too....

Thank you for popping by

Less is More.....

Hi Guys...Happy Sunday...hope you are all snug and warm this miserable day...ugh!! so wish this rain would go away.....anyway I suppose that every cloud has a silver lining.... it gives me the excuse of staying holed up in the craft room...lol...here is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge - Sketch Time....

I used a my new stamps from Clearly Besotted - Love Birds...designed for Valentines cards but I thought they would make great New Home cards too.  I stamped in SU ink and cut the cage from super sparkly card.  I finished with a few enamel dots.

Before I go I just want to share another card with you...I seem to be mad about Tags at the moment...

I just played around with a Teresa Collins pad and some dies for this one...

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

A New Addiction....

Hi Guys...hope this finds you all well...its a cold cold Monday here in my part of Kent but at least its not raining...I managed a little play yesterday...and it would appear I have  a new addiction...teeny tiny pegs!!!...lol...

I still had the pink card stock on my desk from the baby card so I just rustled this up.  I used a SSS stamp and die set 'Happy Birthday' more vellum which I embossed...loving the look....made a sweet flower with a Marianne die I had forgotten about and finished with a few sequins and gems.

I'm going to enter this for Addicted to CAS challenge - New as apart from the card stock everything I've used is new!!! also I see the SSS challenge this week is Embossed so I'm entering that too..

Oh Baby, Baby....

Hello...hope you all are enjoying the weekend so far...I have been in the craft room today making a card for this weeks Less is More Challenge - New Baby....We have a new baby in the family which is due in March..a little girl we are told...awwww...here's my card.

Sorry about the quality of the pic..the light here is awful due to the weather...I used TH Movers and Shakers Heart die and cut one in pink and one in vellum and then cut two small hearts from a SSS heart die set and used a tiny peg to attach them all together.  I used a SSS die to cut the sparkly 'Baby' and then finished with a couple of punched hearts and a few gems.

Hope to be back with more to share soon, enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Rain, Rain Go away.....

Well I don't know about you, but I am really fed up with all the rain we have having here in my part of the country....grrrrrrr....grey days are really depressing....I suppose it could be worse..it could be snow like last year...but I think I would prefer snow at least there would be the odd crisp sunny day...

Anyway...I'll get on with what I'm here for today...lol....I have been making cards as I have a Craft Fair in February...unfortunately its the day after Valentines so I haven't made any cards for that, but I did make one for this months Clearly Besotted Challenge - Love.

I am totally 'besotted ' (sorry...lol..) with Stephanie's stamps and bought loads from her recent releases cant wait for the next lot..here I used a spotty heart from the 'Love Heart' set.  I stamped in red and clear embossed it on vellum which I cut into a tag, I also embossed the sentiment from the 'Love Birds' set. I layered it up with a plain white tag and added a shiny button and twine.

I layered the spotty paper with red cardstock so just a tiny bit shows to bring out the red accents.
I hope you will pop over the check out the fab DT creations...great inspiration!!

Now while I had my CB stamps out I made a couple of really simple cards to stock up with for the craft fair.  CB stamps are just perfect for a great CAS look.

for this I used the 'You Are' stamp set and the 'Happy Birthday' is from the 'Sentiments' set.  I stamped in SU ink and just highlighted some petals with Wink of Stella glitter pen.

for this one I used the 'Butterfly Wishes' set.  Again I used SU ink and highlighted the wings with Wink of Stella Glitter pen.

I used the Autumn Flowers set for this one...I think these are great for male cards.  I used SU ink again, tied a little twine and added a few 'Nailheads'.

I going to spend the rest of the day in the craft room, I'm waiting for a BT Broadband Hub to be delivered as I am changing ISP.  I hope it all goes well, I'm told its quite easy, just follow the instructions....hmmm yes well we'll see.

I think Ollie has the right idea today...he hasn't budged from here all morning...lol...

 Have a great day!

Hello....

....and Happy New Year to you all....yes its a bit belated...I had hoped to be posting before now...but I have been rearranging the craft room...more storage needed :-))) and as you can see I have made a few changes to my blog.  I wanted a new look for the new year and as I seem to be going more CAS I thought the background had to reflect that too.  Its not quite right yet thanks to Mr Blogger playing up but I hope to make a few tweaks here and there.

Anyway... I have managed to start making..( I had better make a start as I have so much new stash to use!!!..lol..) and here is a card for this weeks Less is More Challenge - Hearts.  Well I have been itching to use a new Memory Box die - Butterfly Heart.

I cut the die straight onto the card blank which I hope qualifies as a one layer card...lol....I then coloured the butterflies with very pale copics and then added a smidgen of Wink of Stella to glitter them...and that's it...very CAS!

I hope to back with more to share in the meantime do pop over to Less is More and check out the fab DT creations.

Have a great weekend

Merry Christmas

Just popped in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a super New Year.

Personally this year has been a very emotional one for me...3 members of my family passed away...including my Mum and Brother in Law....Christmas is going to be hard for me and my Sister but I am looking forward to a brand new year.

I'm planning some changes here on my blog....a new look and a new style maybe.  I've been doing a lot of new stash buying which I hope will reflect the changes.

Anyway....have a super happy holiday with your loved ones...hug them all that little bit closer..
See you in the New Year and take good care if you're travelling in this dreadful weather.

Hello....its a dark and dank day here in my part of Kent...boy..its really 'ugh' out there...so I'm sharing with you a couple of cards I made with some of my new stash from Clearly Besotted which arrived yesterday...super customer service...I only ordered them on Monday.....

For these cards I used the Tasty Treats stamp set and matching dies.....

I just love these little strawberries....

I had chocolate on my mind with this one.....lol.....

I 'sugared' the cherry with sparkly rock candy so it glitters...but you cant see it in the pic :-(

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your lovely comments, I am changing my style a bit these days and to receive such positive words from you lovely fellow crafters, I feel that I'm getting it right...mwah!!!

Two for the Boys....

Hi...today I have three cards to share...now I don't make that many cards for 'the boys' that often...if at all really to be honest, but my first ever order arrived from SSS arrived on Saturday (being doing a happy dance since...lol...I waited long enough for it!!!..) I just had to have a play with these cute little SSS Small Plane dies....I have no idea why they jumped into my basket...but I'm so pleased they did...

As I'm new to this CAS malarkey....it took me a while to get a grip of what I had in mind for them although the outcome is such a simple card...my first thought was a grey plane in contrast DP..but then in a light bulb moment I thought of a 'pop' of red which I think made all the difference .  Then I remembered I had the Cloud dies from Memory Box lurking in my stash..they were bought on a whim a while back and haven't seen the light of day since...until now.  The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted
(another passionate affair...more about that later).  I layered it all up with 3D pads, added Twine and a tiny red gem for balance.

Next!....

This time I used SSS Pointed Feathers die...I'm just love these...you'll be seeing these very often I think...lol....I cut them from SU DP's ..thought the grey was a good idea for a masculine card and again kept it simple...twine, button,  Clearly Besotted sentiment again...and....sequins????? ( well they are grey/silver...lol...)  they just finished it off nicely I thought...

I'm having a quiet day today...I hope to be playing with a pile of new Stamps and Dies from
....if Mr Postie pays a visit today...I'll share the results tomorrow but in the meantime here's something I made earlier...

For this I used their Geometric Style Stamps and Dies...I embossed the design in white on Kraft cardstock and cut out a few to make a 'snowflake' (well that was my first thought...lol..) I scored a few lines on the backing card and just finished with Twine, a button, a Christmas sentiment and a couple of pearls....

Have a great day!!

Addicted to CAS

Hi....hope you all had a great weekend...mine was nice and quiet...a bit of crafting on Saturday and a nice Sunday Lunch out ....Ollie got a walk through the local woods....(we don't go there very often..not after a neighbours dog was savaged a while ago by a larger dog off the lead..I don't think the police ever found the owner.. the poor little dog died...it was very shocking at the time and I haven't taken Ollie through there by myself since...)...

Anyway...I have a card for this weeks Addicted to CAS Challenge - Pets.

I finally received my first order from Simon Says Stamp on Saturday and had to use this little sweetie straight away.!!!  I coloured the image with pencils and cut it out and then just layered with a piece of DP.  Finished with some twine a button and a few sequins.

Do pop over and check out the DT creations...so cute!

Thank you all for your kind comments...they are so appreciated,
Have a great day

Less is More Challenge...

Hi Guys...I'm back with a card for this weeks Less is More Challenge...this time they are giving us a chance to catch up with our Christmas cards but would like us to use a bird...ummm...well you cant miss mine...lol....

I wasn't sure if a Penguin was classed as a bird...but hey!....this sweet penguin is by Clearly Besotted...I just love that he comes with his hat and scarf...I used the matching dies to cut him and his red felt hat out.  I cut a circle and stamped the little snowflakes that comes with the set and I embossed them with sparkly clear powder.  I then used DI's all over the circle.  I cut a smaller circle to give the impression of a snow hill and embossed that too and added some clear Rock candy for extra sparkle. I used a little of glossy accents on his beak and then I used 3D pads on all the bits so there is lots of dimension.

I hope you have a super Sunday

CAS-ual Fridays

Hello....Happy Saturday!!..hope you are all well and fine.....its a bright but chilly day here in my part of Kent..I have a few chores to do today...but hope to be crafting away later....

Anyway, I have a card for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

...Create with 8! ...

its a new challenge to me...I've been hopping around to find some CAS challenges for my 'new look' ...lol...

Here's my card.....

Inspired by the leaves lying around in my garden - 8 leaves.  I used Clearly Besotted Leafy Accents clear stamps with matching dies....I stamped one leaf design in shades of Autumn and then two leaves in gold for a bit of shimmer to the card...unfortunately the camera didn't pick that up :-(...I cut them out using the die. I wanted a bit of texture to the backing card so i simply scored a few lines across
corner to corner and the arranged the leaves using 3D pads for dimension...the sentiment is from SU.
I finished with a couple of pearls..

Right I'm off for my appointment with the chores...I'll catch you later..
Thanks for stopping by

Round in Circles....

Hello everyone...hope you're keeping nice and warm on this chilly Tuesday..I'm staying put...and having a play with some new stamps...

Now todays card is for two challenges - CAS on Sunday - One Layer Wonder and Uniko Studio - Christmas or Holiday Theme....I was inspired by Amy's card here...

This is my card...

I used my new Uniko Studio stamps called Round in Circles and stamped in VersaMagic inks....shades of Aqua...and the tiny stars are from a Clearly Besotted stamp set.  I do realise that I have gone totally overboard with the sequins but you have to have sparkle at christmas, Right?

I do hope you'll pop over to the challenges and check out the DT's creations.

I'll be back with more to share soon.
Have a great day..

More Less is More....

Hello...Happy Saturday to you all...I hope you have some lovely plans for the weekend...me?...I'm having a Pyjama day!..I have my fluffiest, cosiest PJ's on and going to stay in the warm and craft...

Well today is the day for this weeks Less is More Challenge.  Its Theme week and they would like you to use some DP paper on your card but keep to the CAS look...here's my card...

A simple card which appears to be my style lately.  Using a circle die I cut the 'hole' in the top piece of cardstock and a circle from the DP which is from the DCWV Twinkle Glints stack (and boy it twinkles..lol). Then I tied a length of Hemp Twine through the 'hole' and knotted at the back.  Then I adhered the top piece to the card base using 3D pads and then glued the DP circle on to the card base through the 'hole'.  I finished with a simple sentiment, a bow of Hemp Twine and some gems for more twinkle...

I made this one first but wasn't happy with the red bit on the sentiment....

I couldn't make another as that was the very last piece of gold thread I have...lol....

I hope you will pop over to Les is More and check out Chrissies and Jens creations...truly gorgeous.

I've been hopping around some super blogs this week getting amazing inspiration and ideas from all you very talent crafters out there...I hope to be back with some cards to share from the ideas I have picked up.

Have a great weekend!
