Its Been A While...... But Twhoooo to Share.....

...well three actually....lol.  I spotted these sweet Woodware Patchwork Owls while stash shopping at the Craft Barn but they had sold out...so after a lengthy trawl of the net I managed to get them....and as they were just crying out to be paper pieced I just had to oblige.... here they are.....

I used LOTV NitWit Papers for this one...

 

 

Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve papers give this little guy a spooky look...

 

and some pretty pastels for this one...Oh..yes I added some google eyes for effect!!!

Just Magnolia Challenge DT Card...(yes its late!!)

Hi guys yes I'm running behind again...Just didnt get time yesterday to do the post....anyway here is my card for this week challenge at Just Magnolia - Twinkle little Star....we want to see stars on you creations....

 

I've gone a bit krafty again with the blue...darling Tilda is coloured with Copics..the DP is LOTV..I used a memory box die and added the stars to look like flowers.  Finished with a lovely organza ribbon, a sweet little charm and loads of sparkle and pearls.  I do hope you will join us this week.

Another Tree...

Hi guys....I couldnt resist this tree....its one of a set of three stamps by KatzelKraft....

 

I coloured the background with distress inks and stamped and embossed the tree..then 'highlighted' the leaves with a touch of shimmer mist to make them shine....You'll be seeing a few of these as I bought another set of trees I seem to have a thing about them...lol....

Not So CAS...

Hi guys...hope you all had a fun weekend....I had a fun day on Saurday...I went to my very first Workshop at The Craft Barn!!...It was a bit spur of the moment but it was a stamping class so I thought I could brush up a bit on the basics...things have changed since I first started making cards.  We did lots of the basic stuff as I thought but at the end I managed to have a little play with colouring with ShimmerMist...well I fell in love with that!!!..lol...spent more money on a few...I havent practiced at home yet..but I will share once I have....anyway what I have been doing today is trying out masking off bits of card...now I know that this isnt rocket science and you lot out there having been doing this since the year dot but to me its new...here is my card...

Its very nearly CAS but I seem to be frightend by spaces of white card and popped on some matching inked candi and instantly regretted it..oh well that what its all about isnt...I'll know better next time...

Just Magnolia Challenge - Pretty in Pink - DT Card

Hi all...here is my DT card for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge - Pretty in Pink...well we all love pink dont we...I used a bit of Kraft with mine....

 

I used an old favourite Tilda this week...Tidla with garland I think shes called...coloured with copics..the DP's are Helidot and I finished with magnolia doily flower dies and a new Memory Lane die - Ribbon border I think...(I really must pay attention...lol) and the usual pearls....Anyway I hope you will join us this week....I look forward to seeing your creations...

A Little Midnight Fairy for Allsorts

Hi I'm back again....I had a nice messy afternoon in the craft room today....thought I'd have a go at some tags....

 

 

 

I punched 2" rounds of white card....applied some Victorian Velvet and Chipped Sapphire distress inks...added a scrolly stamp with Pumice Stone and a sweet little fairy stamp in Black Soot.  I then sprayed the tag with Cosmic Shimmer Mist - Angel Mist..masked the moon and added a bit more Chipped Sapphire...then added a little embossing in gold to the flower... some teeny gems..and navy blue satin ribbon.....you cant see it in the pic but they really shimmer.....lovely!!

 

I'm really pleased with them so I'm entering them for this weeks Allsorts Challenge - It's a Gift.

 

I'm off to get inky again!!!

Different Direction....

Hi Guys...I hope this finds you all well and looking forward to the bank holiday (UK)...I've  been having a great crafty week and have branched out in a different direction with my cards,,,Tilda will always be a favourite..but I like the clean and simple look too. Dont Faint!!!

Hi Guys...yes I've made a card...not just one but two!!!...lol..I have my niece to thank for the activity in the craft room this morning...two of her friends have baby's due at the end of the month and good old Auntie Jan is the one to ask for that extra special card...well these should stand out from the rest...lol...especially the first one....as we don't know what babies are due the colour was a bit of an issue...but then I found a DP pad by Simple Stories in my stash called Baby Steps and as you can see it isn't your normal kind of colouring..so it did the trick...

the expectant Mum love elephants so this sweet LOTV one fits the bill perfectly....I just hope it's  what my niece had in mind....

and the next one.......

just kept it simple and as I used another LOTV image..I thought I would keep the beige theme with the bear...but tried to keep it light...the DP is just a scrappy bit I found in my stash....I used a new Memory box die for the corner bow..but trimmed it a little to fit.  The expectant Mum for this one is Canadian and my niece ask if I could put a nod to this in the shape of a maple leaf..well not sure the punch I used is a maple leaf but it looks a lot like one...lol....it was a bit of a problem as to where I put it so I have just glue it underneath the image mat so if my niece doesn't like it she can just tug it off without damage to the rest of the card.

Well I don't know about you but I have withdrawal symptoms...lol...there is no Olympics to watch on the TV!!!...lol.....just want to say Well done Team GB....amazing achievements....I loved the rowing and cycling..so exciting...and as for the dancing horses...it made me cry to watch them...lol...I hope that the feel good factor lasts a while...Its about time we felt proud to be British.

I'm Still Here....

Hi Guys...yes I'm still here...but just been doing other things.  Mr Mojo has been a bit hit and miss again...think its the weather..lol...and having to deal with a major moan with the home where mum is hasnt really improved my productivity..but its all sorted now so I hope to get cardmaking again soon.  All this hasnt stopped my stash buying though...lol...so I have lots of new stuff to work with...but in the meantime I have found a spot of crocheting and needlework quite restful so have come up with some sweet little brooches which I have just put on my Etsy shop this afternoon here....

Sweet Tilda for Just Magnolia Challenge DT Card

Hi Guys....hope you are all enjoying the Olympic games....I've been totally hooked this week and Team GB are looking good....anyway I have actually made a card...Yay!!....a sweet Tilda for this weeks challenge at Just Magnolia....it our monthly 'Anything Goes' with an option of handmade flowers...I love making my flowers and there are so many lovely dies out there now to make them all so very special.....

The DP's are by Helidot...gorgeous little patterns in lovely pastel shades...I used various dies for my flowers and finished with Craftworks Candi and glitter.....I do hope you will join in the challenge this week...

Its strange that I used a Sewing Tilda for the card as its been a bit of theme for me this week...I have been busy sewing cute things and here is what I have been up to..

Who ate all the cupcakes!!!...lol..these cute little Cupcake Angels can be found over at my Etsy shop here.

Something Completely Different....

Hi all... I hope this finds you well and that you have been enjoying the lovely weather we've been having...well up to today anyway...lol.....my cardmaking mojo has gone on walkabout again...but I have been enjoying doing some sewing and made this sweet little folk art doll....'Posy'

I made her right from scratch...painted her quirky face and those sweet 'laced up' boots...she is totally OOAK.....I used to make these years ago...(12yrs ago!!!) and I thought I had lost the pattern but I was rumaging through some boxes in the garage this week and and found it...so pleased as I loved making them...I have a couple more in the pipeline and have just added 'Posy' to my Esty shop here

Some to Share...

Hi all....not surprising that I been playing with my new Stampin' Up! stash....I'm loving the simple clean lines...but I'm sure I could get a little shabby with them as well as they are so versatile...

I have used Stampin' Up! Pocket Silhouettes for this card...I distressed the edges and the DP, ribbon and pearls are from stash .

You cant beat stunning Red Black and White in my book and this SU stamp is just perfect for this look..from the 'Mixed Bunch' set which contains 3 large and 3 smaller stamps so something for everyone...! I punched the flower out using a SU punch that co ordinates with the shape of the flower...what a great idea!!!...I used a Magnolia Swirl die, scrap of DP, ribbon and pearls from stash.

I am a great fan of Gingham..its so clean and tidy but pretty at the same time...lol...this SU stamp is from the Faith in Nature set...simples.....lol

Pretty in Pink...I have used SU Butterfly Prints and their matching punch which makes cutting them out so quick...no more fiddly bits...lol...I also used a EK success border punch with a Memory Box Honeysuckle die.  The DP is Papermania Lucy Cromwell...lovely pretty papers..and I added pearls as usual.

This is another SU stamp from the Mixed Bunch set..plus a smaller one for the middle of the flower. The larger flower was punched out with the SU punch as before...  The DP is SU as well and I used a Cheery Lynne leaf flourish die.  Ribbon and pearls from stash.
