ABC Challenge - R for Red..DT Card

Hi Guys..hope you all well and having a good week so far...my new little addition is running me ragged at the moment....but he's quite a good boy...maybe more luck than judgement..but he is settling in nicely...so this week over at ABC its R for Red!! and I had to colour up my new darling Tilda for this one...I love the red gingham paper and the ribbon to match and used some Craftworks flowers and gorgeous Magnolia Crystal gems..I so wished I could have gone to the NEC and am sooo jealous of the guys that did and raided the Magnolia stand!!..lol..(getting Ollie was worth it though..lol)...its probaly for the best as I would have spent a fortune...anyway ...we have a fab sponsor this week... Come and see my Birthday Pressie.......

Hi....well my weekend did go according to plan..although I had to give up my birthday treat to the NEC...but it will be there again...and I think this pressie was more exciting....come and meet...Ollie...

...we picked him up yesterday..and he's been sooo good..only a couple of 'accidents' and not a peep out of him all night....so much for me making cards this week with this little time waster...lol...Lily the cat is a little unimpressed..but she has told him who's boss....lol...right I have to get cracking as I have DT cards to make..hope you all had a fab weekend..

Hi....sorry...

...I've been a bad blogger...it's been really busy at work and the early mornings are taking their toll..I have no energy when I get home so blogging and cardmaking has been on the back burner!!!....but there is light at the end of the tunnel..I start a new permament job on 6th April with sensible hours!!!..lol...and I have all of next week off including the Easter hols...Yippee!!!..lol so I hope to get back into the swing.....and...its my birthday tomorrow...so heres at pic of my favourite flower...

A B C Challenge - Q for Quotation - DT Card

Hi...this is my DT card for this weeks ABC Challenge...we want you to use a quotation on your creations this week...have to say I had to get thinking cap on for this one..but I found this among some stamps that I havent used and thought it kind of had a vintagey sound to it and tried to make my card to reflect this..the DP are from Papermania Rose Garden which I thought was very apt for the quotation...and I distressed the edges with scissors and then inked them...added a little bit of faux stitching and lots of pearls....

Just a few to share...

Hi Guys...I have been a bit tired for the past week due to the early mornings for work and I havent been crafting much..but I did find a bit of time over the weekend to have a play ...now the first one...is a card I made for my Mum for Mothers Day..

The lovely Stamping Bella Ketto stamp whose name escapes me at the moment...I used the new DCWV Linen Closet DP's which are soooo lush..gorgeous gorgeous colours and half of them are glittered..so yummy that I had to stop myself from making all my cards with them!! I also used my new MS flower punch that jumped into my basket on Saturday!!..lol..and lots of bling..as it just had to be done!!!...the next card...

...is the very handsome Edwin...I think he's the nicest Edwin so far..and the DP's are Papermanias Rose Garden..now these DP's are gorgeous again..in fact so gorgeous I bought two packs as I knew that I would want to use them all summer..lol..and they come with little die cut tags, alphabets and borders..so pretty......next...

...this one is of course my fav floral stamp againing using the lush DCWV DP's and a fab organza bow...next...

A Darling Tilda..I love the contrast of the red gingham with the blue..that came as an after thought..I didnt like blue flowers on it and the red seemed to pop out at me...and next...

an oh so cute sleepy bear..just love this colour combo...I cant remember whose DP's they are...but I used my fav MS border punch and loads of pearls...well that is for now...I'll be back with some DT cards...I hope you all are well and happy..and thank you for your lovely comments as always...

Hi all hope you're all well and dandy!!..lol...just a quick post cos I'm a little over excited....I've been shopping...yes its craft shopping... just picked up a few papers that I really dont need... lol..and a couple of copics..you know...in case i
I might want that colour and a Stamping Bella stamp because she looks cute and some Woodware Stamps cos I've been looking for some oriental ladies and these might do the trick... and the Martha Stewart punch that just happened to hop into my basket saying buy me, buy me!!!!...lol...but thats not what I'm over excited about...while I was at the Craft Barn I was admiring the House Mouse stamps that was being demo'd...and happen to have a chat with the nice lady doing it and she is only THE lovely Chris from Sketching Stamper THE Chris who's gorgeous Tilda graced the Christmas Magnolia mag front page...I spent hours drooling over that..(making the pages so soggy..lol...) I am in complete awe of her Tilda cards....and you all know what a Tilda lover I am...its was so lovely to meet her ..and you should have seen the stunning House Mouse cards she had done..totally gorgeous...her colouring is amazing.....do pop over to her blog and have a look..she also designs digi stamps and they are really lovely too...

Stampin' for the Weekend - MONOCROMATIC - DT Card

Hi guys...better late than never...I thought I had scheduled this for this morning!!! anyway here we are...this is my DT card for this weeks challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend..this week we want to see your creations in 'MONOCROMATIC'...this is right up my street as I love to use shades of one colour...and here is the sweetest of Tildas dressed in Aqua...and I've tried to make her seem to be blowing bubbles with the gems I bought recently..the DP's are from a pad I bought with just dotty designs..(I love dots!!)..but the front page is lost so I cant tell you who they are!!!..trust me!!..lol.. ABC Challenge - P for Paper Piecing DT Card...

Hi All.hope you're having a good week so far..well here is my DT card for this weeks ABC Challenge...this week its P for..

Paper Piecing!!!
Paper piecing is a really easy technique to do -
1. Stamp you image out as normal and colour.. but not any bits you want to add in design paper.
2. stamp your image onto design paper and cut out the /image that you want and glue them over your stamped image.
Really easy ... and great for matching or co-ordinating images with the design paper.

I have used my current favourite stamp PB 'Gossimer' and some pretty lime green DP's... using the above technique..and I have to say . I'm quite pleased how it turned out...we have super sponsors this week so why not join in the fun!!!...looking forward to seeing your creations...

Just a Quickie.....

Hi guys...Just a quick post before bed..I have to be up at 4.30am..yes this is my new job...have to be there by 6am ready to open first batch of mail..I'm processing ISA applications and they have to be all linked to computer system by 10.00am!! Yes its a very early start but then I'm home by 1pm so it kind of feels like a full time part time job..if you see what I mean...and then I have time for making cards in the afternoon..best of both!!!lol....anyway.. I was asked today to make a Mothers day card..and then my sister wanted a baby card...so I've been busy this afternoon...and thought I'd share them with you....I'm feeling all 'pinked out' now..have a look you'll see what I mean!!..lol

Helloooo!!!............

Hi guys...its nice to be back with you all....I think I'm over the worst now!!!...lol..this lost mojo lark is certainly draining....especially on the pocket!!!... I went craft shopping on Friday...it had to be done...nothing like it to get the juices flowing again...and decided I would have a 'me' weekend and just sit a make cards...so I've got lots to share with you and couple of challenges...had a trip to The Craft Barn on Friday afternoon..took my dear old mum with me for the ride..she likes to have a rummage in the charity shop next door....I topped up the card box with some co ordinations cardstock..I'm getting very into these... although I am a bazzill girl.. I cant always get all the colours I want ..I also got a 'At You Spica' pen which I wished I bought all the colours..the one I got is just clear but it leaves an ever so soft twinkle on colour and now I'm addicted!!!..stocked up on gingham ribbon..great for Easter and spring...a few packs of Craftworks card Candy..some more gingham papers in all the colours they had!!.. Stazon ink pad..in Timber Brown as I only have been using black so thought I'd try a ofter look..just as I was queuing to pay my mum came in and spotted a card on display which had been stamped with a Stamping Bella Ketto Wasabi and she said oooo..why don't you get that too....now this was a great surprise to me as she is always telling me that I have far too much stash..and here she is encouraging me to spend!!! anyway have to say it was very sweet and here she is...

and I am entering her for this week Paper Take Challenge which is a fab sketch..the DP's are Papermania Capsule collection and I added lots of glitter and gems to her...
I've also been shopping on the internet and picked a couple of new stamps..first one...

..I love this one its Hero Arts Silhouette Flower..so simple..and just added a bit of bling..now talking of bling...I'm going to have a little moan..we all love gems dont we?... but do you.. like me.. find them a tad expensive?... most packs only have a few so after a couple of cards thats it..so ...(forgive me if I'm a bit behind the times here) I went on ebay searching...most to compare prices..and I came across 'Diamonte Crafts' and you can buy them in the hundreds.. I bought 200 AB clear crystals for £1.25 ok the p&p is £1.50 but if you buy more than one then it is the same p&p..so I stocked up on 2 different sizes and some pearls..the service is brill too... I got them the next day..I'll definitely be buying again.....Sorry..on to the next new stamp..

..Hero arts again..It reminded me of a gem tree you could buy a few years ago..you know with hanging amethyst's etc., and thought it would look lovely covered in gems..(hence my ebay hunt) ok this one has pearls..the DP is basic grey..it looks a little drab in the pic but IRL its fine...and the last stamp is...

I adore this stamp...Penny Black Gossamer.. I've been after since I saw it on a card at the Craft barn but they had sold out..and I finally found it at The Glitter Pot...it is so versatile...

and this...

I just stamped and embossed the image for this card and I then used the Spica pen over the petals for a little twinkle but you cant see it in the pic..This is my entry for this week Penny Black Challenge..its a great sketch this week...I don't know who the DP's are as they were scraps I found in my stash..and I used my new gems...

I've been using my copics again..just trying to get the look right....Well thats all for now..I'll be back in the week with a couple of DT cards...I'm off to do some ironing now as I cant really have all the weekend to play...lol..

OOOoooer....!!!

Hi Guys..firstly I must thank you all for leaving me such kind comments recently about my new job..yes all is going well thanks..cant wait for payday!!! lol...but all is not well in the cardmaking dept...me mojo's gone on walkabout..I have sat at my desk this afternoon...( I work very early hours..and get home about 1pm!!) looking at my pencils...and going through my stamps....sorting through DP's to see if something gets me going....I've been having a hop around blogland seeing if I can find a challenge to challenge me...nope..its no good...I cant be bothered....(sharp intake of breath!!!)..yes I said I cant be bothered... all I want to do is eat chocolate...(whats that all about?)...so..any ideas to get me kick started again would be gratefully received...it could be the weather I suppose..really fed up with the rain..I dont mind cold..but wet and cold..yuk!!!

ABC Challenge - O for One Paper...DT Card..

Hi All....I'm a bit late in the day for this..but here's my DT card for this weeks ABC Challenge - O for One Paper...now I'm not one for scrimping in this department as I love putting mismatched pattens together but this had me a little stumped until I thought of double sided DP...as my collection of paper is ridiculous..I knew I would have trouble deciding which one to use..so I made myself go for the first one that came out the drawer ..now I have had this one forever..its been waiting for the right kind of card..I coloured Darling Tilda to match..not one of my usual colour scheme but hey it makes a change from pink!!!...lol..anyway just to give it a bit of omph! I turned down a corner..a look I like a lot but hardly ever use...Tilda is sitting on an Sizzix flourish and I added some punched flowers to complete the look...I hope you will join us this week..as we are lucky to be sponsored again by Wendy of Secret Crafter...She has put together a prize for the winner, and she has also informed me that she has the new Cosmic Cricket 6x6 decks and the new Basic Grey pads due in the shop by the end of the week. Last day of Crafting......

Hi Guys..today I have been playing as tomorrow I go to back to work.(Yippee in a boo hiss kinda way..lol..) and I have been messing about with Copics...now it was only last week that I was singing the praises of Prismas and Polychromos to one of my Teamies at ABC...and as much as I love blending and making the shading as good as it can be..it is time consuming...so last night I sat and coloured a few Tildas to see if I could get the look I like...I then found out I didnt have enough colours..especially for the hair so I trudged off to my fav craft shop, The Craft Barn...(such a chore..!!! lol) and bought some more..yes I know!!! but its a Valentines pressie to me..from myself..(its the only Valentines pressie that I got...but thats another story!!!! lol...)so after much restraint as I'm a all or nothing girl..lol..I came way with 12 more colours...and so I've played some more this afternoon and here she is:

Its ok...perhaps I should go to a copics class??? What do you experts out there think?....

Its been a while...

Hi all..hope you're all well and warm...its been a while since I posted and what a week its been..!!..I started a new job on monday afternoon..only to be offered a better one in the afternoon..well its typical isnt it...you go for months on end looking for something then two turn up at the same time!!!...I took the 2nd job as its more money...and I start on Wednesday..anyway..on to some cards...I have managed to do a challenge and this is for Friday Sketchers and Colour Create...I chose a darling Tilda for this and the DP's are Papermania Capsule Collection...Redhot!...again!!!...

Stampin' for the Weekend DT card and Some Challenge Cards...

This is my DT card for Stampin' For The Weekend...Valentine Themed...I chose this cute PB hedgie 'Thats the One' ..and I've added a branch of hearts for him to pick!!! lol.. there is a fab prize to have this week from Simon Says..so we hope you will join us..do go and check out my 'Teamies' creations...truly fab and great inspiration....

Some to share....and some news...

Hi All...have some cards to share with you ... now this one I used Kraft paper for the first time.. used an old stamp I've had for years but didn't know what to do with it ..so I stamped some white cardstock all over using black ink which I stamped on waste paper to remove some of the ink so the print would be nice and light...I also stamped the Kraft paper the same way with white ink..but it doesn't show too well in the pic..the flowers are punched but I have drawn a line around the edges to look like a stamp..and distressed all the edges with ink...I'm quite pleased how it turned out..and am getting hooked on this kind of stamping...

The next one...I used a 'build a flower' stamp..I stamped all the petals, cut them out and then coloured with a pink copic..and stuck them all together on a nestie..the DP is from Papermania Capsule collection...

..I like this kind of card...just simple..oh ..and I was brave enough to stamp the sentiment straight on to the card..I usually don't as I'm afraid it might not stamp too well and spoil the card...Ok..Next..

..This stamp is a Hero Arts Butterfly..and I coloured in Copics..not my usual colouring medium..but thought I'd have a go..the DP's are again Papermania Capsule Collection in Heather..these are really fab papers...I added a few Craftworks flowers and I have edged them with a lilac copic..but that doesn't show too well in the pic...Now the next card....

...I bought this stamp on EBay..I just loved it ..so cute for Easter I thought..look at all the baby bunnies..she has been busy..lol..the DP is Craft Creations..I just love the tiny daisies...
Thank you all for your lovely comments you have been leaving me..I have some news..I was offered a job today..to start on monday..ekkk!!..I wont be able to make so many cards now...(sob)!! lol..but at least I'll be able to buy some more DP's!!! do I need them?..certainly not!!!...but you know how it is...lol...

ABC Challenge - N for New - DT Card

Ooops..I'm a bit late with this today..thought I scheduled this but just found it in my drafts...At ABC this week its N for New..we want to see all your new stash..so for my card I have used my newest Tilda...the DP's are Papermania Capsule collection which I treated myself to a couple of weeks ago and the border punch was a Christmas pressie from DB and do you know this is the first time I've used it....another oops!! lol...anyway do go and check out my teamies truly lovely creations..and we also have a new monthly ABC Tutorial Challenge Blog....
There will be a new technique tutorial by one of the ABC Challenge DT members each month...with a challenge to run alongside the ABC Challenges...and fabby prizes up for grabs!

Friday Sketcher Challenge
